How to update an incorrect non-client TFN in TFN Reporting

You cannot update the TFN directly within TFN Reporting. Instead, it must be corrected in the main return under the Distribution section.

For non-clients, update the TFN in the Distribution Console as per below steps:

  1. Verify the TFN before creating the trust return to avoid rework.

  2. If the TFN has not been verified, navigate to the Distribution tab and update the non-client TFN.

  3. Save the changes and redistribute the data to the trust return.

  4. Delete the existing TFN Reporting.

  5. Refresh Tax Manager, and recreate the report if required.
