This is an issue in Elite Tax 2026.0.0.0 that has been corrected in the Elite Tax 2026.0.1.0 6th August release.
This error is related to the Seniors and Pensioners tax offset and may prompt users to provide the spouse’s gender even if it has already been selected.

Follow the steps below:
Before proceeding, ensure you back up your Elite database to prevent any data loss.
Exit all running programs, including Access Elite, to ensure a smooth installation process.
After downloading, right-click the file and select Properties.
If the Unblock option is available, tick it, then click Apply and OK.
Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
After installation, re-validate or re-export the return and attempt submission again.
Ensure the spouse’s gender is correctly set in the spouse details section. If necessary, update the information and regenerate the export before validating again.
