Practice Management: Elite closes when trying to login as administrator

When trying to login to Elite Practice Management as an administrator, the desktop software closes completely. The password being entered is also correct.

To resolve this issue, use the following steps:

  1. Login as Training (Password is blank).

  2. Backup your database.

  3. Close Elite.

  4. Open File Explorer, and navigate to your database location.

  5. Find EDBConfig.EDBCfg.

  6. Rename EDBConfig.EDBCfg to EDBConfig.EDBCfg.Old.

  7. Open Elite and login as administrator.

To check the database location using the following steps:

  1. Open Elite using non administrator credentials.

  2. Go to File.

  3. Select Setup Manager.

  4. Go to Program Setup/Installation.

  5. Under Embedded Database Settings, check the location.
