Follow the steps below to troubleshoot why your Elite application may be loading slowly.
Antivirus Software
Temporarily turn off your antivirus software and then open Elite to check whether performance improves. If Elite runs faster with the antivirus disabled, use the list below to add exclusions in your antivirus software for the Elite folders and files.
Once complete, turn your antivirus back on and ensure the following folder and file exclusions are applied to your current antivirus solution.
Folders
C:\ElitePracticeManagementCache
C:\Program Files (X86)\Elite
C:\ReckonElite\Data
C:\RSBRE
File
C:\Program Files\Elite\PracticeManagement\EliteCentral.exe
Restart the PC for the changes to take effect.
Once restarted check the exceptions list again to ensure the above folders and files are still listed as exceptions.
Open Elite and test how long it takes for it to open.
Windows Anti-Virus Exclusions
From your windows search bar, type Windows Security.
Select Virus & threat protection.
Go to Manage, Exclusions.
Add the following folder exclusions:
C:\ElitePracticeManagementCache
C:\Program Files (x86)\Elite
C:\ReckonElite\DATAAdd the following process exclusion:
Type: Elitecentral.exe
Security Rights
Provide Full Access Rights to the Administrators and Users group of the following locations:
C:\ElitePracticeManagementCache
C:\Program Files (X86)\Elite
C:\ReckonElite\Data
C:\RSBRE
Restart the PC for the changes to take effect.
Open Elite to test how long it takes to open.
