⚠️Important: The following applies to Elite desktop only.
To move Elite to a new machine / device:
Open Elite, Practice Setup, Enter Unlock Codes.
Take note of the Machine ID.
Backup your database from the old machine and transfer it to the new machine for restoration purposes. For steps review: How to create a backup in Elite Desktop.
On your new machine, download the latest version of Elite Practice Management here: Access Elite Release Information.
Install Elite Practice Management using the steps in the Release Instructions provided with the Download.
After you've successfully installed Elite Practice Management on the new machine, download and install any additional required modules.
To install Elite Tax:
Open Elite Practice Management.
Go to Practice Setup.
Click Check for Updates.
Select the required models in pop up window.
Click OK and proceed with the installation.
If installing the tax module via software was not successful, proceed to install the tax module via the Access Portal instead. Download from Access Elite Release Information.
Download the latest release of Tax Installer.
Download the Tax All Installer 2001 - 2019.
Activate your license:
Take note of Customer ID, Old Machine ID, New Machine ID.
Call our renewal team at 1300 288 224 (select option 4) - then number 5 for Elite. Alternatively, email our renewal team at [email protected]
Inform the representative you need a new unlock codes as you have moved your Elite Practice Management to a new device.
You will be guided to download your unlock codes with instructions over the phone or via email.
Restore Database:
Once your license has been activated, use the steps in this article to restore your current database: Practice Management: Restore Elite Database from an Elite Backup
